Sewage and Waste Systems .

We specialise in supply and installation of fully packaged pumping stations for sewage and storm water.

For the purposes of describing our connections with this subject there are two divisions, firstly sewage. Where the sewage outlet from toilets /domestic waste water cannot discharge by gravity to mains drainage and the above also applies to ships, in some cases to effect a discharge overboard or to a treatment/holding tank. The application of packaged pumping stations is not just limited to sewage and effluent, but also storm water.

Whatever the requirement the end result is a need for raw sewage to gravitate to a lower level and from that point to be mechanically pumped to its point of disposal. Our company has been involved in the work of supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance for a number of years.

Essentially, whatever the duty requirements, we offer two possibilities: (a) A submersible pump capable of handling raw sewage in its entirety or via a grinding or maceration addition, or (b) a special pump design incorporating a cutting element all of which is surface mounted.

There are merits for either option but briefly the range of option (a) is enormous and stretches across the spectrum from small single unit to large municipal sites. The limitations of (a) is that the majority require a relatively large bore discharge pipes valves and fittings and the discharge pressures generated are lower, whereas (b) has the advantage of much smaller discharge diameters, can pump greater distances and has the advantages of a surface mounted pump as far as maintenance is concerned.

There are many other points of discussion which would be taken up when an enquiry is made and ensures that we make every effort to offer the best solution to suit the clients needs. Waste or effluent pumping carries the same type of technical problems but due to the many applications involved requires close examination which we will happily undertake.
